Tascam DA-6400 Control is an iOS app allowing the Apple iPad to control the Tascam DA-6400 64-channel digital multitrack recorder. Using your Wi-Fi network, this app controls and monitors the condition of the DA-6400 or DA-6400dp.

A complete monitoring and command center for the DA-6400
Control the recorder wirelessly from any position you choose
When the DA-6400 is installed in an inconvenient location such as a machine room, it can be controlled remotely from the performance space via Wi-Fi. In addition to basic transport operations like Record, Play and Skip/Search backward/forward, the operator can also set and locate marker points.
In addition to basic Record, Play and Skip/Search backward/forward operations, Set and Skip buttons for Marks are provided.
Select any take from the take list
Tap the TAKE LIST button to bring up a pop-over display of the take list, and then select the desired take.
Monitor the levels of all 64 channels and other status
The app is equipped with a 64-channel level meter, making it possible to monitor levels. When a level overload occurs, the bar meter changes to red, and a pop-up display of the channel number appears above the meter. The master clock status and timecode source as well as the remaining media capacity can also be checked.
Two types of time counters
There is a main and sub-counter for time display, making it possible to display multiple time formats. For example, you can monitor both the elapsed time and input timecode.
Display and set record arming and input monitor
Tascam DA-6400 Control makes it easy to configure record arming and input monitoring for each track. Simply tap on the lower level display area to open a screen where you can enable/disable recording or input monitoring for any track.
Tracks are displayed in groups of 16 and you can also swipe to set a function on or off for multiple tracks at once.
Panel lock function for preventing accidental operation
By locking out the control, accidental transport operations can be prevented during recording or playback. Swipe with two fingers to the left (while the panel is unlocked) to lock the transport buttons. Swipe with two fingers to the right (while the panel is locked) to unlock the transport buttons.
Connect via your Wi-Fi network
The app communicates with the DA-6400 via a Wi-Fi network, so monitoring and control can be performed from an optimal location even when the DA-6400 is installed in a rack case.
NOTE: A Wi-Fi router is needed for wireless connection. Connect the DA-6400 to your router and use its IP address to find it from the app.
